This 200-Hour Ashtanga Yoga Teacher Training at Samyak Institute of Yoga & Ayurveda is a 26-day immersive residential program designed for sincere practitioners who wish to deepen their understanding of traditional Ashtanga Yoga and evolve into disciplined, confident teachers.
Set in Mysuru – the birthplace of modern Ashtanga Yoga – this training focuses primarily on the Ashtanga Primary Series (Yoga Chikitsa), integrated with classical Yogic philosophy, Pranayama, meditation, and structured teaching methodology within a traditional Gurukula-style environment.
This training is not merely about memorizing the sequence. It is about understanding breath (Ujjayi), bandha integration, drishti, alignment principles, therapeutic intelligence, and the internal discipline that defines authentic Ashtanga practice.
